The Mexican takes on the IBF, WBA and WBC middleweight king in a highly-anticipated clash at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Alvarez is the outsider with the bookmakers with many believing his best chance of victory will be if the fight goes the distance.
But he said: “This is a very important fight. I’ve prepared like I’ve never prepared before, to look for the knock-out. That’s what I’m happy for.”
Alvarez has been accused of only taking this fight because he was ridiculed by his Mexico compatriots according to Golovkin’s trainer Abel Sanchez.
But he hit back by claiming he will silence the doubters when he upsets the odds in Vegas this weekend.
He added: “I’m very motivated to give the fans a beautiful fight and answer a lot of questions.
“For the people who said this fight wasn’t going to happen and those who said I am going to get knocked-out, they’ll see it on Saturday night.
“Things have been said by him and his camp, we’ll see Saturday night.”
